We have made the difficult decision to remove Arla JÖRÐ from retail sale in the UK, as we’re moving the JÖRÐ brand in a new direction. This means that we will no longer offer Arla JÖRÐ as a retail product in the UK.

When can I buy Arla JÖRÐ in my local market until?

Some stores may have Arla JÖRÐ products still available until the end of January 2025 or until the stock runs out.

Was it always Arla’s intention to remove JÖRÐ from sale?

No, we love our Arla JÖRÐ portfolio, which is why we are moving it in a new direction. We constantly review our entire Arla product range to ensure we are delivering the greatest value for our farmer owners, and we see the greatest potential for oat drinks within the foodservice channel, and particularly for the out of home coffee occasion.

Is the decision to remove Arla JÖRÐ because the product isn’t selling?

No, we loved our Arla JÖRÐ portfolio, however we constantly review our entire Arla product range to ensure we are delivering the greatest value for our farmer owners, and we see the greatest potential for oat drinks within the foodservice channel, and particularly for the out of home coffee occasion.

Is the decision to remove Arla JÖRÐ linked to the Bovaer® project?

Arla JÖRÐ is a plant based product and is therefore not linked to the Bovaer® project in the UK. As one of the biggest food producers in the UK, Arla Foods is committed to providing high quality dairy and we would never compromise on the safety of our products. Bovaer® has been researched for 15 years and is currently used in 29 countries around the world. The science tells us that it is both proven safe for consumers and effective in reducing emissions – and it does not get into the milk, so isn't in our products. Together with our farmer owners, this is an important part of our efforts to bring down the carbon footprint of the food we produce.
