Buckwheat Porridge with Golden Milk and Figs

A gluten-free and nutritious cinnamon porridge. Golden from turmeric and infused with cardamom and honey. When figs are out of season, you can top the porridge with diced apples or frozen mango.

Ingredients

2 servings
Buckwheat Flakes
200 g
Gluten Free oatmeal
25 g
Flaxseed
2 tbsp
Water
500 ml
Salt
2 pinches
Ground cinnamon
2 pinches

Golden Milk

Semi-skimmed milk
300 ml
Ground ground turmeric
½ tsp
Ground cardamom
2 pinches
Runny honey
1 tsp

Additions

Fresh figs
2
Coarsely Chopped cashews
100 g

Instructions

Step 1

  • Mix all ingredients into the porridge in a saucepan and simmer for about 3 minutes while stirring.

Step 2

  • Mix all ingredients in a saucepan, warm and whisk vigorously

Step 3

  • Pour the porridge into bowls and top with figs and nuts. Serve golden milk."
