Instructions

  • Cut 3 thin slices from the thickest point of each kiwi to get 12 slices of kiwi.
  • Stick 3 slices on the inside of 4 glasses.
  • Place the remaining kiwis in a blender jar with banana and skyr and blend to a smooth smoothie.
  • Divide the smoothie between the glasses, sprinkle with spirulina powder, and serve immediately.
Enjoy!
Tip

When selecting kiwis for the smoothie, make sure that they are perfectly ripe. Their pronounced taste and firm texture are ideal for enhancing the flavour and decorating the inside of the glass.

Tip

Frozen bananas help give the smoothie a creamy, thick texture. However, if you want a thinner consistency, switch out the frozen bananas with fresh ones. Fresh bananas maintain a naturally creamy texture, but note that the smoothie will be less cool when served.

Tip

You can also serve it as a smoothie bowl. Instead of glasses, pour the mixture into bowls and decorate with the thin slices of kiwi on top.

Questions about kiwi fruit smoothie

Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions about making a delicious kiwi smoothie with bananas.

Can you put kiwi skin in a smoothie?
Yes, you can include the skin of a kiwi in a smoothie, as every part of the kiwi is edible. However, it comes with a 'but'. Not everyone enjoys the texture and the fuzzy feel the kiwi skin has.
