Instructions

Crème fraiche dressing
  • Mix crème fraiche, lemon juice, sugar, and pepper into a smooth dressing.
Mushroom sandwich
  • Melt butter in a frying pan over high heat, but do not let it brown. Sauté onion and thyme sprig for about 2 minutes.
  • Add mushrooms and fry for about 5 minutes until golden and dry.
  • Add garlic and salt and fry at medium heat for about 2 minutes. Remove the thyme sprig.
  • Spread the bread slices with butter on one side.
  • Arrange the bread, butter side out, with cheese, mushroom mixture, and crème fraiche dressing.
  • Heat a toasting machine to a high temperature and toast the sandwich for about 5 minutes until golden and the cheese is melted. Serve warm.
