Oatmeal Biscuits

Delicious biscuits that are a great snack or with cheese. Make sure the biscuits are completely cooled before placing them in a tin.

Ingredients

Baking soda
1½ tsp
Wheat flour
275 g
Coarse salt
½ tsp
Sugar
2 tsp
Butter
200 g
Oatmeal
85 g
Milk
100 ml

Brushing

Egg
1
Water
1 tbsp

Instructions

Step 1

  • Mix flour, baking soda, salt and sugar together in a bowl. Crumble the butter in the flour mixture. Add the oatmeal and quickly knead the dough with the milk.

Step 2

  • Place the dough covered in the refrigerator for approximately ½ hour. Divide the dough into 2 and roll out each piece of dough thinly (approximately 35 x 35 cm). Cut each dough into 25 small squares (approximately 7 x 7 cm).

Step 3

  • Spread out the biscuits on baking trays lined with baking paper and prick with a fork. Brush with egg and water. Bake the biscuits in the middle of the oven until golden. Baking time - 15 minutes at 175 °.

Step 4

  • Let the biscuits cool on a baking rack - before you place them in a cake/biscuit tin.
