Pain au Chocolat

Ingredients: 100 g dark chocolate (70% Cocoa); 25 g Warm butter; 50 ml Chocolate Spread; 1 Chilled puff pastry; 30 g almonds Chips; icing sugar; 1 egg

Make your own pain au chocolat. They are super simple to make and they look and taste like they are from the city's best bakery.

Ingredients

Pastry

Dark chocolate (70% Cocoa)	100 g
Warm butter	25 g
Chocolate Spread	50 ml
Chilled puff pastry	1
Almonds Chips	30 g
Icing sugar

To Brush

Egg	1

Instructions

Step 1

Heat the oven to 225 °.

Step 2

Finely chop the chocolate and mix with butter and chocolate spread.

Step 3

Roll out the pastry. Separate or cut into 12 even-sized squares.

Step 4

Spread the chocolate mixture in a stripe down the middle of each of the pieces. Brush the edges with beaten egg and roll-up.

Step 5

Place the the rolls of pastry with the flap down onto a baking tray lined with baking paper. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with almond chips.

Step 6

Bake in the middle of the oven for 8-10 minutes. Let it cool a little. Sprinkle with icing sugar when serving.
