Pavlova with Fruit Cream

A classic dessert. You can bake the meringues the day before.

Ingredients

Sugar
125 g
Egg whites
2
Whipped cream
200 ml
Frozen berries
½ litre

Instructions

Step 1

  • Whip the egg whites until they are stiff. Whisk sugar and baking powder into the mix. Divide the meringue into paper baking dishes (about 100ml).

Step 2

  • Use a wet spoon to create a dip in the middle of the meringue. Bake the cookies in the middle of the oven for approximately 5 minutes and switch off the oven.

Step 3

  • Allow the meringues to dry in the oven heat for at least 4 hours, without opening the door.

Step 4

  • Whip the cream to a light froth. Mash half of the berries and stir them into the whipped cream.

Step 5

  • Divide the whipped cream into the meringues and garnish with the whole berries. Serve immediately.

Baking Time

  • Approximately 5 minutes at 225 °C in a traditional oven

You can bake meringues the day before and leave them in the oven overnight!
